NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANT ADVANCEMENT (NIMAA)

NIMAA is a nonprofit education institute that trains Medical Assistants to work effectively in today's high-performing primary care settings. Students gain hands-on learning in leading primary care clinics. Salud partners with NIMAA to train students and give them real world patient interaction and experiences to provide an in-depth education of the medical field.  

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

  • Classes run from September 2019 - April 2020

  • Application deadline: July 31, 2019

  • Students must spend at least 240 hours in their clinic

  • Students must be 18 years of age or older by May 1, 2020 with high school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Application fee: $25

  • Tuition: $6,000

  • Program Fees: $760

RURAL RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAM

The University of Colorado Rural Residency Training Program is hosted at the Salud Clinic in Fort Morgan, CO. This program prepares residents for full-scope family medicine through diverse training with exposure to both urban and rural practice settings. The trainees will have access to top academic facilities, innovative hospitals, and experienced faculty throughout their training.

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

  • The first 13 months will be spent training in and around Denver, CO

  • The following 23 months will be based primarily in Fort Morgan, CO

  • Housing stipend is available

  • Rural training opportunity for medical students at the University of Colorado and Rocky Vista University
